GeM Registration (Sell to Government)
Government departments buy daily — get listed where they shop.
Why GeM is non-negotiable
- Govt of India procures ~₹2 lakh crore worth of goods + services annually via GeM. Without registration, this entire buyer pool is invisible to you.
- Direct GeM bids (₹0–₹25k) and 'Buy from GeM' orders are routine — they don't go to L1 reverse-auction; just a catalogue-and-order flow. Easiest path to your first govt sale.
- MSME / Udyam / Startup-India / Women-owned sellers get preferential rate-of-procurement quotas (33% of certain categories) — but only if registered and verified.
- Many govt department buyers also REQUEST quotations directly from GeM-listed sellers (RFQ flow) — a registered seller can receive these without bidding.
